BIRTHDAY CARD FOR A LOVELY FRIEND (who is getting Better not Older)
How cute are these little critters? Barnyard Babies is not my usual style of stamp set, but I am so glad I have it. There are so many possibilities and I can’t wait to share them with you.
To make this card, using shimmery white cardstock, I started by stamping the ground area (there is even a little grass stamp in this set), for a soft effect I also added some Sahara Sand reinker with my aquapainter. I added a little more grass with my markers, sorry can’t remember the shade I used. I then stamped the animals all except for the ‘googly eyed’ cow and painted them with reinkers and aquapainter. I stamped the cow and fussy cut him after painting with the same technique then added him with dimensionals.
I punched out two trees with the tree punch from kraft cardstock, and added the tree top from newsprint dsp. I cut two more tree top sections, and trimmed them slightly smaller and added them with dimensionals.
I aquapainted some soft sky around the area above the grass and around the trees.
I mounted the finished piece onto Basic Grey cardstock, then a piece of Cajun Craze paper stack, (r)I finished off by mounting the whole thing to the new ‘thicker’ Whisper White Cardstock.
I’m happy to report that my friend liked her card.
